Kamala Harris Raises More Than $200 Million

The campaign is growing fast since President Biden’s decision to drop out of the race

This morning, the Harris for President campaign announced that the campaign has raised more than $200 million since President Bide decided against running for re-election one week ago. The haul, which represents a historic number, included donations from over 1.4 million donors, 66% of which were first time donors to the Presidential campaign. In addition, in the week since Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, more than 170,000 new volunteers have signed up to join her campaign.

Today’s announcement highlights how strong the campaign has been since President Biden made his decision one week ago. The Vice President is expected to now name her Vice Presidential nominee before August 7th. Kamala Harris will then formally be nominated by Democrats during the upcoming DNC Convention in three weeks.
